Here are my daily drawings for the second week of Inktober 2018. It’s been a very hectic week, as I’m moving house in a short time and have been busy with preparation, and with a work-load of deadlines I’m trying to clear up before the move. I’m beginning to regret taking on Inktober this year, but hanging in, just about! A recent book for Charlesbridge publishers in the US, Family Reminders written by Julie Danneberg, has been chosen by the National Council for Social Studies (NCSS) and the Children’s Book Council (CBC) as a Notable Social Studies Trade Book for Young People. Lili at Charlesbridge tells me “This is a really great honor, and the book will be exhibited at the 2010 NCSS convention in Denver”. #Award #familyreminders #mybooks

Very busy time lately, hence my silence on the blog. I’ve just returned from a long home-hunting expedition in London, with happy results, so major changes are in the pipeline. On my return home I was amazed to find in the post a beautiful pewter plate from Highlights High Five magazine in the US. The inscription tells me I’ve been awarded the “Thinking Feature Illustration of the Year 2008”. I’m a bit of a fatalist, so this has to be a good omen I tell myself. Many thanks to
